Count the windmills at the Cape Soya Wind Farm.

Wakkanai is a town of strong winds. In order to take advantage of that,
57 wind-power turbines have been built on the Soya Hills.
The height to the top of the blade of the tallest is approximately 100 m.
The rows of huge white windmills make for magnificent scenery.

The Cape Soya Wind Farm will begin dismantling all 57 existing wind-power turbines in fiscal year 2026 and plans to progressively replace them with new wind-power turbines (14 units planned in total).
