The best place to view Mt. Rishiri’s magnificent form is from Himenuma Marsh. As well as being able to view the peak from the best angle, on clear days, an inverted Rishirifuji can be seen reflected on the surface of the water. In addition, Rishiri’s largest marsh, Otatomari Marsh is also a point from which to view Mt. Rishiri’s beautiful form.
The packaging of the famous Shiroi Koibito confectionery features an illustration of a snow-capped Mt. Rishiri as seen from the observatory in the vicinity of Otatomari Marsh. Why not take a box and compare the views yourself?
